Mobile Design

If you visit the site from a Smartphone or Tablet, the 1FamilyTree page layouts have been improved.

Share Social Media

Social Media Share buttons now appear on most pages. Click on Open-Close to hide them.

Pagination

See the above image. Pagination has been improved when lists have more than a few pages.

Research Links

ID Numbers

The persons ID now uses a font that is less likely to confuse the capital I with the number 1.

Timeline Events

Persons vital record events are now automatically included in the timeline.

Vertical Ancestor Chart

Edit User Profile

The vertical ancestor chart provides a nice visual of ancestors.
Registered Users can edit their profile.

Family popup previews

Mouseover a parents name and a preview will popup.

Collapsable events

Some events will start out as closed. Click on the arrow to open and view more information.

Search Indexes

The Index Search for Obituary Published dates is so popular, we have set that selection as the default.

Advanced Search now includes Soundex

The Advance Search now includes a Soundex search when searching Surnames.
JAYS TIP - Try using Advanced Search when you have a surname that is often spelled many ways.
Enter only a surname, select the 'contains' Soundex option, then sort the results by the birth date column.

Help Pages for Search

The search pages now have HELP pages for additional info.

Family Group Worksheets now avail to add/edit info

Family Group Worksheets are now available from the tab link on both Individual's and Family Data page. They will open to new web pages, pre populated with any existing data. Additionally, soon they can be used as tracking pages until such time you feel you have everything you want to submit.
So, If you start to fill in data, but get distracted, you can save it and return to it another day, just start up where you left off.
The EDIT tab is still available to add/edit one or two items.
