    Obituary:
Judy L. Wendt (Springer) fought a courageous battle with bile duct cancer. She passed away Thursday May 30, 2013. Jesus said "Welcome Home Judy".
Judy was born in Appleton, December 11, 1942 to William and Dolores (Fisher) Springer, the olderst of nine children. She attended St. Therese grade school, Roosevelt Junior High School and graduated from Appleton High School (West) in 1961. Judy and Gene Wendt were united in marriage August 12, 1994. Their marriage was blessed August 18, 2012 by Father Dennis Stanchik at St. Bartholomew in Stevens Point.
Judy worked for about 18 years for AT&T before moving to California. She and Gene managed a motel in Wasco, CA and she also worked for Arcadian Trucking in Kingsburg, CA until they moved back to Wisconsin in 1993, to the Stevens Point area. She worked most recently at Wal-Mart in Stevens Point until she retired in 2010.
Judy enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, tending her flowers and fruit bushes. She would freeze and can Jelly and sauces that she made when things grew well. If you went to visit at the right time you could go home with jelly, pickles or fruit cake. Her fruit cake is potent. She sewed so many stuffed animals that she could have had her own small zoo if she had not given them as gifts. Judy loves to share with people. When Judy and Gene traveled, they liked to stay at bed and breakfasts around the state and see different sites in the areas they visited.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Gene Wendt, her children Tony (Sandy) Omachinski, Neenah, Robert Omachinski, Menasha, Mary Beth (Mike) Federman, Kaukauna and her grandchildren Chris Ulman, Katie Omachinski, Heidi (Kong) Vang, Nick Federman and Jaycee Omachinski and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William Springer in 1978 and her brother David in 1966 as well as her maternal grandparents, Charles and Lucille (Blick) Fisher and paternal grandparents, Theodore and Margaret (Marx) Springer.
