  Family History Researcher	EMail Mr. Wilpot, My lineage comes from County Louth, Ireland through Patrick Savage who w as the son of Nicholas Savage and Catherine McShane. Patrick's sister, Jul ia Savage, married Bernard Newcomb. Bernard and Julia did not immigrat e, however several of their children did immigrate. They settled in and ar ound Fond du Lac and Outagamie Counties in Wisconsin. Those who immigrat ed are Catherine Newcomb husband Owen Hardy, Thomas Newcomb; Bernard New comb wife Bridget Johnson; Margaret Newcomb, Anna Newcomb, husband Richa rd Kelly; Rose Newcomb husband James Clark; Patrick Newcomb wife Mary McGu illan; Julia Newcomb husband Michael O-Halloran. A cousin had the first Newcomb immigrants and some of the second generati on semi-researched and I have been taking it from there. Since I am in rur al Idaho I have been doing much of the current preliminary research via t he internet. The connection between the Newcombs and the Savages in Wisco nsin came to light in a single piece of paper found among the pape rs of my cousin Zoe's grandfather after he died. Her grandfather was a new spaper publisher in Iron River, Wisconsin. In her notes cousin Zoe also re fers to a Newcomb Genealogy by Gertrude Woods. I have not seen this geneal ogy. John Hardy - Ida McCormick Ida McCormick was born July 1879 in Missouri the daughter of James J. a nd Anna (mn unknown) McCormick. I am basing this on the following censuse s.
