  Mrs. Mary Kuemmet, 81, of 712 Humboldt Ave., widow of J. George, died of a lingering illness early today at St. Nicholas Hospital. The former Mary Rammer, she was born in the Town of Wilson, March 24, 1882, the daughter of early settlers John B. and Mary Rammer. She was educated in district school and at St. George's Catholic School at Six Corners. Her marriage to Mr. Kuemmet was performed by the late Father Paul Schiedel, May 5, 1903, in St. George's Church. The couple farmed on Highway 141 south of the city for many years until moving into Sheboygan five years ago. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1953 and their 55ih anniversary in 1958. Mr. Kuemmet died here last Nov. 9. Mrs. Kuemmet was a member of St. Peter Claver Parish, St. Ann's Christian Mothers Society, Apostolate of Suffering, and a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Catholic Women's Charity Club. Surviving are a son, John, on the homestead farm; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Ries (Josephine), Sheboygan, Mrs. Hildegarde Hesslink, Skokie, Ill., and Mrs. Eugene Hertel (Georgianna) Black River; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandson. She also is survived by a brother, John T. Rammer, Sheboygan, and three sisters, Mrs. Susan Miley and Mrs. Frances Hoffman, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Elizabeth Essig, in Florida. The requiem Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Claver Church, following 9:30 family rites at the Gerend Funeral Home. Celebrant of the Mass will be the Rev. Robert M. Hoeller, pastor, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. Thursday evening vigils are scheduled there for the Catholic Daughters and Catholic Women's Charity Club at 7:30 p.m., St. Good Samaritan Guild at 8, and Luke the Evangelist Unit of the Christian Mothers at 8:15.
