  Doris Mae Ambrosius, 63, of 451 Orlando Dr., De Pere, died Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Doris was born on June 30, 1936 in the Town of Howard to the late Benjamin and Evelyn (Stordeur) Huben. Doris married George Ambrosius on Aug. 8, 1953 at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her time with the Christian Mothers of St. Boniface. Survivors include her husband, George; her mother, Mrs. Benjamin (Evelyn) Huben; four sons, Dale (Cheryl), De Pere; Tom (Debbie), Pulaski; Paul, De Pere; and Jack (Lori), De Pere; two daughters, Barb (Tom) Spang, Green Bay; and Lois (Randy) Burt, Kaukauna; six grandchildren, Christina and Melinda Spang, Green Bay; Samantha and Robert Burt, Kaukauna; and Kyle and Megan Ambrosius, Pulaski; one brother, Robert Huben, Green Bay; and two sisters, Florence (Harold) Rentmeester, Green Bay; and Mary (Clayton) VanEnkevort, Lakewood. She was preceded in death by her father; and one sister, Patsy. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere. Entombment in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Memorial funds may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 9th floor staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their thoughtful and compassionate care.
