Stuttgen, Patricia Ann (Marriage - 26 Sept. 1956) Miss Patricia Ann Stuttgen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Stuttgen of Colby, Route 2, and Clifford Wentzel of Oxford, Route 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wentzel of Curtiss, exchanged marriage vows Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, at a 9:30 o'clock ceremony in St. Mary's Catholic church in Colby, Rev. John Pinion officiating. For her wedding the bride chose an Alencon lace and tulle gown, the lace bodice of which was finished with a tiny pointed collar bearing a scattering of sequins. The sequin trim was repeated on the lace panels that extended into the chapel-length train. Pearls and sequins adorned the embroidered crown that secured the lace-bordered veil. Her all-white shower bouquet consisted of plain and feathered carnations. The strapless frocks with lace bodices and full nylon net skirts over taffeta worn by her two sisters - Misses Carol and Dolores Stuttgen, both of Colby - were complimented with brief lace jackets finished with Peter Pan collars. Clusters of ruffles coming to points detailed the skirts. Completing their ensembles were matching headpieces of sequins arranged in a crown and colonial bouquets of yellow bronze mums. The former as maid of honor was attired in a peacock blue frock, while the gown worn by Miss Dolores as bridesmaid was shrimp-colored. Robert Nayes of Boyd was best man and Kenneth Micke of Gilman was groomsman. Both are cousins of the bride. Her brothers, Donald and Bernard Stuttgen, were altar boys. The bride's mother was present in a gray suit and the groom's mother wore a rust-colored dress with black accessories. Corsages of pink and white carnations were pinned to their dresses. Dinner and supper were served in the church basement and a reception was held at the home of the bride. The groom is employed by the Oconomowoc Canning Co. at Oxford and the bride is employed at the A. H. Weinbrenner Mfg. Co. in Marshfield. Both are graduates of Colby High School. Out of town guests present at the wedding were from Unity, Stratford, Marshfield, Rhinelander, Oxford, Curtiss, Stanley, Boyd, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Menasha, Appleton, Milwaukee, Spencer, Withee, Greenwood, Arpin, Loyal, Abbotsford, Green Bay, Pleasant Prairie, Wausau, Mosinee, Gilman, Edgar, Menomonie, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago and Oaklawn, Ill.
