Charles J. Hein, age 95, of Chilton died on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. He was born November 4, 1911, in Chilton son of the late Henry and Magdalene (Rollman) Hein. Charlie served in the United States Army Air Corp for 4 years during WWII. He managed several grocery stores throughout the area and worked as a security guard for Foley Co. in Chilton. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #125 in Chilton. Survivors include a niece, Mickey (Edward) Stumpf of Alamogordo, New Mexico; nephews: Robert (Pat) Hein of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Norbert (Jane) Hein of Kiel; and close friends: Clem and Marge Kasper of Chilton. Charles is further survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: William and Henry Jr. Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2006, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Norman Krutzik officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. when services will be held.
