  Jane Griesbach, age 88, of Appleton, died peacefully at Grand Horizons - West surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born on August 14, 1924, in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late William and Veronica Holmes. On May 16, 1952, she married the love of her life, Leo Griesbach at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Prior to her marriage to Leo, Jane was employed by Home Mutual Insurance Company. After raising her children, she truly enjoyed her position in the Fine Jewelry Department at Gimbels. Her most important achievement was being the wonderful, caring mother to her children and 56 years of marriage to Leo. Jane was a very loving and giving friend. She enjoyed bridge, entertaining, her many days up at the cottage in Waupaca, and was well-known as a great cook. Jane was a devout Catholic and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. May the Lord keep her by his side and give her eternal peace. Jane is survived by her son, Mark Griesbach (Kate Konrad) of Tallahassee, Florida; her daughter, Anne Bocik of Appleton; and her grandson Nicholas Bocik of Scottsdale, Arizona. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband Leo; her parents, William and Veronica Holmes, and her sister June Holmes. The Memorial Funeral Liturgy for Jane will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be directed to Affinity Hospice. Jane's family would like to thank the staff at Fox River Assisted Living for the first class care they provided for over five years, in addition to the most recent care by the staff at Grand Horizons - West, both of Appleton. A most heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Yacoub, his staff, and Affinity Hospice, with a special thanks to Phil Garwood: they are truly angels of caring.
