  John George Kromer died 4/5, born in Weeswall, Baden, Germay in 1824. Served in the German Army particiating in the Baden Prussian revolution in 1848. Emmigrated in 1870 arrived in Kaukauna on 7/04/1870, leaves two sons Jacob and George.

  April 22, 1892 Chairman Brill of the Town of Buchanan says that residents of Kaukauna are making a practice to drive their cows, horses and other animals into the lawns to graze along the roads. From this time on any cow, horse, etc. found running at large across the town line, will be impounded. John George Kromer, 68, died this week. He was born in Weeswaid , Baden, Germany and served for many years in the German army, participating in the revolution in 1848. He immigrated to America in 1870, arriving in Kaukauna on the morning of July 4. Not knowing how the 4th was celebrated he thought he had landed in the midst of a war.
