  De Pere Journal-Democrat, 21 Feb 1924 Cornelius Denessen, aged 79 and 9 months and one of the oldest residents of De Pere, died at his home at 621 N. Superior street at 8 o'clock Sunday night. He was born in Holland but came to this country many years ago and after having lived at Humboldt moved to this vicinity where he was a successful farmer in the town of De Pere. He retired and moved to De Pere about ten years ago. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Peter Vullings of Oconto; Mrs. William Scray, town of Glenmore; and Mrs. Clarence Doherty, town of De Pere, and three sons, Frank, Nick and Henry, all of De Pere. the funeral was held from St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock this moring. Internment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
