  FOREST JUNCTION - A 64-year-old Brillion man who died Monday when a piece of farm equipment fell on him has been identified as James J. Jonen. Lt. Kelly Sippel of the Calumet County Sheriff's Department said paramedics and ThedaStar helicopter were called to the scene of the accident at W3516 U.S. 10, Brillion, at 12:38 p.m. Monday. The sheriff's department said Jonen had been working on a piece of equipment that apparently fell on him. He was pulled out from under the machinery by family members, but died at the scene.   James J. Jonen, Town of Woodville (Rural Brillion), age 64, passed away on his farm as the result of an accident on Monday, August 18, 2008. Born September 25, 1943, in Appleton, Wis., son of Clarence and Mildred Jonen (nee Fillion). Jim was a lifelong resident of the area, and farmed both the family dairy farm in Kaukauna and his own farm in Woodville. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966. Jim was very generous - people who needed help could count on him. Jim is survived by his mother, Mildred Jonen of Kaukauna; brother, Jerry (Diana) Jonen, West Bend; sisters: Jean Kahler, Kimberly; Peg (Bob) Stevenson, Combined Locks; Donna Landers, Oshkosh; Pat Jonen, Kaukauna; numerous nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his stepchildren: Brian, Jackie and Sandi Pomeranski and Sandi's son, Cedric; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, in 1988 and brother-in-law Donald Kahler. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, August 21, 2008, at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary's Site, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna, Wisconsin, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jim's name. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. Ph. 920-766-2099.
