  Man Collapses, Dies on Walk to Drug Store Manley C. Burt, 75, of 1515 N. Appleton Street, a retired carpenter, collapsed and died near his home about 6 p.m. Saturday as he walked to a drug store. Burt was found by Mabel Duwel, 1506 N. Appleton, where he had fallen on the sidewalk in front of 1504 N. Appleton. Burt was taken to Appleton Memorial hospital by Lindy's Ambulance, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Coroner Bernard H. Kemps ruled death was caused by a heart stricture. Burt had earlier complained of pains in the chest, his widow told Kemps. Burt was born Jan 10, 1884, in Manitowoc county and had been a resident of Appleton since 1927. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Lutheran church. Friends may call at Wichmann Funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, then at the church. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Burt is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Kumrow, Seymour, Mrs. Joseph Kronser, Appleton, and Mrs. Sylvester Jansen, Kimberly; six sons, Milton, Lyle and Arlin, all of Appleton, Melvin, Casper, Wyo., Davis, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., and Manley, Jr., Kimberly; one brother, John, Marshfield; and 19 grandchildren. 9/28/1959 Post Crescent
