  JOSEPH BRANDNER Joseph Brandner. 87, a veteran of the Civil war. died Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Gehring. 981 Oneida-st. He was born in Austria and came to the United States at the age of 6 years, He located in the town of Ellington in 1854 and was a resident of Outa- gamie-co continuously until his death. About 1900 he moved to Greenville and. three years later went to Dale, where he made his home until 1918, when he came to Appleton to reside vith his daughter. Mr. Brandner was a veteran of the Civil war, serving in Company D. Fifty- first Wisconsin infantry, and was a charter member of Hortonville post Grand Army of the Republic. His survivors are a daughter. Mrs. Mary Gehring; five grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Anna Weisenberg of Stanley, and Mrs. Theresa Dorschner of New London. The funeral will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon from Riverside chapel with burial in the G. A. R. plot. Saturday Evening, May 12, 1923 APPLETON POST-CRESCENT Page Fifteen
