  Richard A. Seib, age 74, died on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at the Columbus Nursing Home. He was born on Oct. 15, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of Richard and Elsie (Albrecht) Seib. He married Barbara Ann "Polly" Weisman on May 15, 1952, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. Dick worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison for 32 years and retired in 1985. He was also a retired farmer. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He is survived by his wife, Polly; seven children, Douglas (Mae) Seib of Columbus, Delores Schoepp of Sun Prairie, Suzanne Wilpolt of Cambridge, Daniel Seib of Cottage Grove, Teresa Seib of Endeavor, Nancy Sommerfeldt of Poynette, Thomas Seib of Columbus, 19 grandchildren; seven, great- grandchildren; a brother David (Judy) Seib of Minnesota, Jean Smith of Minnesota, Sharon (Ed) Jeffers of Minnesota and June Williams of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in East Bristol with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2005, at the TUSCHEN-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
