Karen J. Pirus, of Pickerel, died Monday, October 22, 2012, in Wausau. She was 70 years old. She was born on September 2, 1942, in Kaukauna, a daughter of George and Mabel (Hinzman) Sager. She married Robert Pirus on April 20, 1990, in Pickerel. He survives. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School with the class of 1961. Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Lori Wagnitz, Milwaukee; two sons, Wayne and friend, Sue Cleveland, Lakewood, James Wagnitz, Pickerel; three grandchildren; a sister, Sandra (Donald) VandenHeuvel, Kimberly; and dear friends, Sharon and Jerry Pitt, Kaukauna. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45 Antigo, with Rev. John Czarnota officiating. Burial will take place in Pearson Cemetery.
