  PETER A. MELCHER Peter A. Melcher, 64, 527 S. Story St., Appleton, WI salesman for the Mutual Insurance company, died at his home about 8:30 Saturday evening following three months illness. Melcher was born Oct. 8, 1884, in Menasha, and lived most of his life in Appleton. He belonged to St. Mary Catholic church, the Holy Name society and the Eagles lodge. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. M.M. Forster and Mrs. Lawrence Brockman, Appleton; a son, Richard, Appleton; three brothers, Charles and William, Racine; and Henry, Kimberly; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Zapp, Appleton; Mrs. Antoinette Judkins, Kimberly; and Mrs. Agatha La Fond, Kenosha; and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home until the time of services. The rosary is to be recited at 7:30 tonight. With the cortege assembling at th3 funeral home at 8:30 Tuesday morning, the funeral will be at 9 o'clock at St. Mary church with the Rev. William Grace in charge. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.
