William V. Marcks, of Black Creek, Wis., age 93, died Sunday evening, August 22, 2004, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. He was born October 8, 1910, the son of the late Herman and Mary (Fitzgerald) Marcks. On November 25, 1931, he was united in marriage to Wilmina Ward. She preceded him in death April 10, 1999. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek. He farmed until his retirement and also worked for Murphy Construction for eight years. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Bev Ward; a niece, Barbara (Ray) Kent, Racine; and a nephew, Richard (Mary) Kexel, Port Orchard, WA; also many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy (Ferd) Kexel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joel (Rose) Ward and Bion Ward. Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 301 E. Burdick St., Black Creek, on Friday, August 27, 2004, from 4 p.m.until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m., with Father Theodore J. Hendricks officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
