  Margaret "Peggy" Rank, age 88, of 523 Madison Street in Brillion, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born on October 8, 1923 in Appleton, daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (O'Leary) Seidel. She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1942. On September 14, 1946, Peggy married Leo Rank at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1994. She worked a couple of places over the years, the last place being the Ariens Company. Peggy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a bowling league in her younger days, and a member of Holy Family Parish. She loved bowling, playing cards, sewing, cooking, baking, Friday night fish fry with Dad, and dancing. Peggy was an avid Packer fan, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis (Carmen) Rank of Reedsville; three daughters and three sons-in-law: Karen (Paul) Geiger of Brillion, Sharon (Bruce) Maertz of Reedsville, and Joan (Tim) Thor of Reedsville; her grandchildren: Andrew (Dana) Rank of Hilbert, Brandi (Tim) Trace of Forest Junction, Adriane (Jeff) Thiel of Little Chute, Robbie Kruse of Appleton, Dustin Maertz of Green Bay, Stuart Maertz of Manitowoc, Brandon (Kim) Maertz of Reedsville, Molly Thor of Callifornia, Steven Thor of Reedsville, Tommy Thor of Reedsville, and Daniel Thor at home in Reedsville; nine great-grandchildren: Karter, Cale, Gavin, and Liliana Trace, Rayna and James Thiel, and Broc, Brant and Bree Maertz; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo, seven sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose (Earl) Klipstein, Katherine (Bill) Phillips, Marie (Elmer) Remiker, Gen (Wm) Moudry, Florence (Ermin) Seidel, Agnes (Rueben) Dix, Frances (Ronnie) Thiel; other in-laws: Edward (Cecelia) Rank, Phil (James) Deboth, Rose (Albert) Kitzman, Anton (Helen) Rank, and Carl (Adeline) Rank. Funeral Mass will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Holy Family Parish in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt. Burial will take place in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until 3:30 p.m. The Mass will follow at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com.
