  APPLETON - Edward W. Peotter, 70, of 512 1/2 College Ave., Appleton, passed away at 2 a.m. today after a lingering illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1892 in Appleton and lived in this city all of his life. He was employed by the Appleton Coated Paper Co. for 42 years as a superintendent. He retired in 1955. Peotter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ted Elseth, Cudahy, and Mrs. Robert Kunstman., Nilow, Mich.; four sons, Robert, Neenah, William and James, Appleton, and Richard, Rhinelander; four brothers: Sylvester, William, George and Eric, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. George Mewton, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Ray Hanes, Racine; 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. I. B. Kimden of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call at Brettschneider Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday until 2 p.m. Monday and then at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
