  MRS. JOHN HERBERT CALLED BY DEATH Mrs. John Herbert died at her home in Front Street on Monday morning after an illness of one week. Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock from SS. Peter & Paul Church. Deceased is survived by three sons and a daughter: Henry of Milwaukee, Jacob and Albert and Miss Maggie Herbert of Naperville. The Naperville Clarion October 17, 1917 Mrs. Katherine Herbert, nee Burckal, was born July 28th, 1846, and died Oct. 15th, 1917, after the brief illness of one week, which resulted from a paralytic stroke received Oct. 8th, while attending to her house duties and apparently in good health. In the year 1862 she was united in holy wedlock with John Herbert. This union was blessed with four sons and two daughters. Her husband died April 16th, 1912, and one son and one daughter preceded her in death. Those surviving her are one sister, Regina Schumpp, Clarion, Ia.; John Burckal, Chicago, Ill.; Michael Burckal, Wheaton, Ill., and Henry Burckal, Fort Dodge, Ia.; also one daughter, Margaret, and three sons, Jacob and Albert of Naperville and Henry of Milwaukee. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 17th, at 10 a.m., from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. B. J. Schuette officiating. Interment made in the SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery at Naperville. The Naperville Clarion October 24, 1917
