  Mary Francis Whitmarsh, age 87, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Grand Horizons in Appleton. She was born on January 7, 1927 in Appleton to the late Raymond and Lorena (Wilharms) Mutthart. She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1945 and attended Lawrence University. Mary loved all animals, like the poem, "All Creatures, Great and Small". She was a wonderful friend to many. She is survived by a daughter, Anne, and grandson, Kevin. Mary is further survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, her first husband, Richard Van Zummeren, and second husband, Floyd Whitemarsh. Funeral services for Mary will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 15, 2014 at Valley Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
