  August C. Asman, 1344 W. Summer St, Age 84, passed away Wednesday a.m. following a short illness. He was born January 20, 1886 in Appleton and was a lifelong resident. Survivors are his wife Gertrude, Oak Ridge Garden Nursing Home. Menasha; three sons, Earl, Kaukauna, Roy, Kimberly. David, Valders; one daughter. Mrs. Larry (Verlee) Porter. Houston. Texas: 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: one brother, Robert. Neenah; two nephews, Robert Rule, Appleton: Robert Rule, Appleton, Robert Asman. Washington D.C.: two nieces. Mrs. Richard Harris. Oshkosh: Sister Nancy, Milwaukee. Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Brettschneider - Trettin Funeral Home, with Rev. E. S. Heeren, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday.
