  Earle E. Dix NORTH FORK. Madera Co. -Funeral services for Earle Edward Dix, 48, who was killed in a dynamite explosion, will be held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Jay Chapel in Madera. Burial will be in the Arbor Vitae Cemetery. Dix died at the bottom of a 30 foot well he was digging at his home 4 ½ miles southwest of here. At 9:30 PM Thursday he was having trouble lighting the fuses and one apparently burned through to the dynamite before he could light the others. Dix was a carpenter for the Sandkay Construction Company. He was born in Wisconsin and moved to the North Fork area 13 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Katherine; two sons, Earle, Jr., of Madera and Phillip of North Fork; three daughters, Mrs. Carol J. Crayne of Mountain Rest, and Kathleen and Gloria Dix, both of North Fork; his father, Phillip Dix of Wisconsin; a brother, Leslie of Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Sanders and Mrs. Phillis Davis, both of Wisconsin and four grandchildren.
