  Glenn A. Utschig 1115 E. Calumet St., Appleton (with a picture). A ge 74, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved life to t he fullest, died unexpectedly at his cottage at Pelican Lake of a heart at tack on Saturday, July 31, 1993. Glenn was born on May 25, 1919 in Hilber t, Wis., son of the late Albert and Hedwig (Thede) Utschig. He served h is country in the U.S. Navy during World War II on theUSS Melville, where he was in charge of the carpentry crew. Glenn was t he president of Al Utschig & Sons Inc. Construction Co. for 30 years unt il his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post N o. 38 and served as past Chef de Gere of the 40 et 8. He was a lifetime m ember of the VFW and the "Cooties." Glenn was also a member of the Knigh ts of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was a 50-year memb er of the Wisconsin Carpenters Union and was a longtime member and ush er at Sacred HeartCatholic Church. "He is survived by his wife Delores of 46 years; a ste pmother, Margaret Utschig of Appleton; two daughters, Mary (Rex) Wegn er of Sun Prairie, Laurine (Steve) Schimmers, Appleton; three sons, John a nd fiance Marian Marine of Winneconne, Anthony andspecial friend Hope Ritchie of Appleton, Allen at home; a sister, Maxine ( Bernard) Blob of Appleton, 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildre n. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives a nd many very dear friends. He was precededin death by two brothers, Reno and Joseph, and a sister, Elaine. .... Int erment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. ...." Interment was 3 A ug 1993.
