  See Image Sylvester VanSchyndel, age 8 8, died Monday, July 10th, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a short i llness. Syl was born December 26th, 1911, in Little Chute to the late Hen ry and Anna (Heesacker) VanSchyndel. He married Verona Weber on June 14t h, 1932, in Kaukauna, she survives. Syl was the founder and preside nt of Badger Metals Inc.. (Distributor of heating and air-conditioning equ ipment), retiring on January 1st, 1998. He was a member of the Knigh ts of Columbus Council 607: 4th degree Knights of Columbus: Elks Club a 33 7: and Ridgway Country club. Syl enjoyed golfing, gardening and playing c ards. Survivors include his wife of 68 years: his daughter, Phyllis (Gab e) Gabrielson, of Appleton: Ruth (Frank) Leahy, of Appleton: his son, J oe (Kit) VanSchyndel, of Appleton: his 13 grandchildren, Janet (Clark) Kre ider, Dee Wais, Sara (Joe) Daniel, Ann (David) Hovell, Steven (meg) Leah y, Karen (Dan) Suminski, Peter (Marilynn) Leahy, Robert (Shellie) Leahy, D ebbie (Joe) Welch, Joanne (Jim) Coates, Vicky (Ross) Chisholm, Sue VanSchy ndel, and Jack VanSchyndel and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preced ed in death by a daughter, Janet VanSchyndel: his sister, Agnes VandenHeuv el, his brothers, William, Lawrence and Jack VanSchyndel. Funeral litur gy will be 6:00 p.m. July 13th, 2000 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Applet on, with Father Donald Zuleger officiating. Internment will be in the S t. John's cemetery, Little Chute.
