  Mabel M. Oakley, 87, a resident of Wabeno, formerly of Appleton and Tigerton passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the AGI Healthcare Facility in Crandon. She was born in Freedom, WI on May 30, 1927 to William and Anna (Spreeman) Reinke. Mabel grew up in Forest Junction, WI and after graduating from Brillion High School she moved to Appleton. She married Lester Oakley on February 11, 1950, they settled in Appleton. Mabel worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill until she retired in 1990. Mabel loved camping, she traveled and lived her camper while wintering in Arkansas and Texas. She also loved to cook. Mabel is survived by her husband Lester of Crandon, a daughter Wanda (Bob) Lenz of Crandon, grandchildren Jeffrey (Jessica) Lenz of Greenville, Stacy (Shawn) Perry of Two Rivers, and great grandchildren: Brayden, Ethan, Payton, and Logan. She is further survived by a sister Jeanette (Don) Stellbrink of Green Bay, and sister-in-laws: Mary Reinke of Brillion, and Gwen Reinke of Appleton. Further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Mabel was preceded in death by six sisters and eight brothers. A memorial service for Mabel will be held on June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend. Rev. Stephen Mueller will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
