  Ellen Radloff, age 90 of Appleton, was called to the loving arms of Jesus after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on April 11, 2016 at Brewster Village in Appleton. Ellen was born on May 2, 1925 in Appleton to the late Howard and Jennie (Van Wyk) Van Ooyen. Ellen was a woman of strong faith who always instilled her Christian values into her children. She was a prominent member of the Women's Guild at St. John United Church of Christ. Ellen focused all of her energy into helping others, from spending time with her family to knitting mittens and quilting blankets for those in need. She enjoyed going to the cabin and camping with her family. She loved spending time outdoors gardening, camping, and biking. She is survived by her children: Dennis (Bonita) Moericke, Russell (Nancy) Moericke, Renee (Jim) Hein-Hannay, Yvonne (Donald) Abel, Barb (Steve) Roehl, and daughter-in-law, Pam Radloff. Ellen is further survived by her siblings: Robert Van Ooyen, Nancy Gradl, and Bill Van Ooyen. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Radloff, and her son Willard "Willie" Radloff. The funeral service for Ellen will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 5 P.M. at WICHMANN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:30 P.M. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the staff at Brewster Village for their loving and compassionate care of Ellen. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ellen's name with all funds raised being donated to LEAVEN Crisis Foundation.
