  Halverson, Theresa M. 76, Appleton, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016. She was born on September 28, 1939 in Appleton to the late Anton & Minnie (De Groot) De Witt. Theresa worked at Rich's Bakery for many years. She loved going to Timber Rattler games and watching baseball on TV, and she enjoyed listened to country music. Theresa loved her dogs Miggie & Lucy; they were her life. Theresa is survived by her sisters: Mary Brown, OR and Rosie (Ken) Huss, Kaukauna; brothers: Frank De Witt, Kaukauna and Bill (Dorothy) De Witt, Appleton; and sisters-in-law: Jean De Witt and Carol De Witt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Anton and Robert De Witt. A memorial service for Theresa will be held at 6PM, Tuesday, September 6, at Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Novotny officiating. Friends may visit from 4PM until the time of service at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Maria & Jose Sanchez for their loving care which allowed Theresa to be at home with her dogs. Published in Appleton Post-Crescent on Sept. 4, 2016
