Ruby Fern Jolette, 88, Appleton, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born November 2, 1919, to the late Sydney and Hildur (Dixon) Leeman in Felch, Michigan. Ruby married David Jolette April 21, 1952. Besides raising her five children, Ruby was a waitress at Nino's Steakhouse for many years. She enjoyed bowling in leagues well into her 80's. She was very loving and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her granddaughters all looked up to her. She will be greatly missed by her husband, David of 56 years; children: Daniel (Bonnie) Wadie; Sherwood; Debra (Joseph) Tierney, Appleton; Michael (Joann) Jolette, Florida; grandchildren: Laurie, Julie, Sarah, Angela, Josette, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Trina, Rachel, Tim, Tammy, Kelly and Dawn; many great grandchildren; two brothers: Marvin (Aileen) Leeman, Salem, Illinois and Kenneth Carlson, Iron Mountain; two sisters: Fran Forst, Green Bay and Vernice Jacques, Iron Mountain; sons-in-law: Cliff Hughes and Richard Griesbach. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her daughters: Patricia Hughes and Pam Griesbach; sisters: Viola (Len) Lombardo, Beatrice (Kenneth) Skog; great grandchild Nicholas; and a brothers-in-law: Emil Forst and Clayton Jacques. Funeral services for Ruby will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, at the Valley Funeral Home with Rev. David Belongia officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service also at the funeral home, Friday. A memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank the staff at AMC 4 SW, and a special thanks to Dr Norma Turk and nurse, Coreen for their compassionate care of Mom.
