Genevieve Hearden, 97, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, Feb. 23, 200 1, at a local nursing home. She was born on May 3, 1903, in Fort Wayne, In d., the daughter of the late Ben and Theresa (Schweger) Mathy. She graduat ed from East High School in 1920. Genevieve married Leonard Hearden on Oc t. 10, 1922, at Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral, he then preceded her in de ath on April 27, 1953. She worked at Saint Vincent Hospital as a Purchasi ng Agent for 25 years, she then retired in 1981. She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Carol) Hearden, Battleground, Ind .; Bill (Pat) Hearden, Green Bay; three daughters, Genevieve (Thomas) Lins dau, De Pere; Alice (James) Conlin, Glenview, Ill.; Peggy Hoeffel, Green B ay; 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other r elatives and friends. Genevieve is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Katie and one brothe r, Bernard Mathy. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at S t. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St. Mass of Christian Buri al at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Baeten officiating. Burial at Allouez Ca tholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to Dr. Jeremy Green a nd to the staff of Odd Fellow Nursing Home for their care given to Genevie ve. Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home (432-4841) is assisting the family.
