  Juanita Adeline Braatz, Age 99, of Appleton, formerly of Shiocton, entered peacefully into her heavenly home on July 9, 2014. She resided at Grand Horizon, Appleton. Juanita was born in South Milwaukee, on June 14, 1915, the daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Truber) Ratsch. On June 29, 1935, she married Percy Braatz in Shiocton. She was a graduate of Shiocton High School and Oshkosh Teacher College. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved them all dearly. She is survived by three sons, Dean (Donna) Braatz, Sun City West, Arizona; Lynn (Linda) Braatz, Appleton, Wisconsin; Ned (Ruth) Braatz, Stockton, California; one daughter, Bonnie (Dennis) Henrickson, Freedom, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Rose Zinck, Appleton, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; and twenty nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Percy; brother, Milan; daughter-in-law, Shirley; as well as nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Juanita will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July, 13, 2014, at First Lutheran Church in Shiocton with Rev. Paul Hinz officiating. Burial will be on Monday in Bovina Cemetery, Town of Bovina. A visitation for Juanita will be held directly at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The family is very appreciative of all the loving care given to our mother at Grand Horizon. A special thank you to the hospice care givers. All were very caring. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Published in Appleton Post-Crescent on July 10, 2014
