  Wilbert J. Schneider, age 91, of Chilton, died on Thursday August 30, 2007, at the Calumet Homestead in New Holstein. He was born January 6, 1916, in Chilton son of the late William and Emma (Bennin) Schneider. He married Eva E. Cetwinski at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2004. Wilbert worked 38 years at the Carnation Company before retiring at the age of 58. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary's Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the Jolly Fisherman's Club. Wilbert was an avid ice fisherman and loved to watch the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include his children: William (Kathy) Schneider, Margaret Rautmann, Susan (James) Braun, John Schneider, Nicholas (Ellen) Schneider; a daughter-in-law: Sylvia Schneider; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a brother: Wallace (Doris) Schneider; a brother-in-law: Harvey Heiner; and four sisters-in-law: Olga Kane, Adele Cetwinski, Gladys Cetwinski, and Elsie Schneider. Wilbert is further survived by other extended family members. Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Charles Schneider; a brother; and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on September 4, 2007. Donations to your favorite charity are appreciated.
