  Jane Tilleman, 89, Allouez, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at her home. She was born in Superior, Wis., on Aug. 5, 1918, to the late David and Pearl (Pearson) Steele. On Jan. 23, 1940, Jane married Donald Tilleman in Reno, Nev. Mayor Tilleman preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1972. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church. Jane was a member of the American Baptist Women's Group and the First Baptist Board of Deacons. She loved and enjoyed helping family, friends and church. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Jan (Mark) Lannoye, Denmark; Joan Tappen (Jim Friederichs), Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren, Matt (Britt) Tappen, Adam (Amy) Tappen, Ann Lannoye (Andy Blank) and Eve (Brent) Wozniak. Six great-grandchildren, Bret Horkman, Allison Ripp, Nathan Tappen, Nicholas Tappen, Kade Tappen, Bryce Tappen and a sister-in-law, Ione Tilleman, further survive her. She is preceded in death by her children, Mark, Mary, Joseph, James, Carol Ann; brother and sister-in-law, Steve (Helen) Steele; sisters and brothers-in-law, Murial (Frank) Nevin, Carolyn (Gene) Peterson; and a brother-in-law, Norris Tilleman. Gathering time with family and friends will be held at First Baptist Church, at the intersection of Wood Lane, West Point Road and Ninth Street, on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 4 p.m. until Memorial Service at 5 p.m. with John C. Nehs, Pastoral Consultant officiating. Private interment in Allouez Cemetery. Memorials to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 10043, Green Bay, 54307-0043, would be appreciated.
