  Leo J. Haas, 91, formerly of Seymour passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Jack & Engrid Meng Unity Hospice. He was born June 15, 1921 in Manitowoc Co. son of the late John and Clara (Linsmeyer) Haas. He graduated with honors from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, WI in 1939. In 1942, he enlisted in the service and served with the U.S. Army in North Africa. He was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Staff Sargent. While in service, he met his future wife, Lola R. Kelly and they were married October 24, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, IL. In 1948, he graduated from The College of Mortuary Science in St. Louis, Mo. From 1948 to 1983 he was a partner in Muehl Furniture Co. and Funeral Home in Seymour. He retired in 1982. In 1986, the couple moved to Winter Haven, FL where they made their home until Dec. of 2000 when they moved to Green Bay, where Lola died on Dec. 30, 2001. He was a former Grand Knight of The Seymour Council, former president of the Seymour Commerce of Businessmen, former pitcher in the Manitowoc Co. and Outagamie Co. baseball leagues. At the time of his death he was a member of the American Legion Post #0106 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #08209 both of Seymour, The Knights of Columbus Council #11834 of Green Bay and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Green Bay. Survivors include his children: Roger (Barb), Freedom; David (Bonnie), Stratham, New Hampshire; Judy (Ken) Doersch, Mountain; Donna (Craig) Hansford, Green Bay; grandchildren: Ryan (Kristy) and Stephen (Amy) Haas, Chad (Wanda) Diemel, Michelle (John) Ziebell, Jennifer (Jason) Vandenberg, Brian and Keith Hansford; great-grandchildren: Lauren, Lana, Anna and Casey He is preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence and an infant sister. Private services will be held. Burial will take place in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Seymour.
