Melvin E. Buchholz, Manawa, age 84, died on Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Manawa Nursing Home. Melvin was born on August 2, 1922, in the Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca County, son of the late Edward and Mabel (Hidde) Buchholz. On April 7, 1946, he married Joan Larkee at St Paul Lutheran Church. Melvin lived and farmed in the Manawa area his entire life. He enjoyed wood working and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. Melvin is survived by two brothers: Arlyn (Betty) Buchholz and Gilbert (Betty) Buchholz both of Manawa; three sisters: Mildred Sturm, Manawa; Laverne (Robert) Werth, Menasha; and Louella (Warren) Zimmerman, Alta Vista, Kansas; two sisters-in-law: Jean (Lester) Breier and Lillian Larkee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Norman. Funeral services for Melvin will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. H. William Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa, on Sunday, October 29, 2006, from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from Noon until the time of the service.
