  Carl Servais, 85, Green Bay, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Green Bay, to Joseph P. and Luella (Kaye) Servais. In 1939, he graduated from East High School. After his graduation he attended the Racine School of Aviation. He then entered the U.S. Navy and served as a Flight Engineer and Mechanic during World War II. On March 11, 1944, he married Donna Sprague in Milwaukee. After the war Carl worked for Eastern Airlines in Miami, Fla. They returned to Green Bay and owned and operated Servais Food Market on West Mason St. for 17 years. He then went to work for Super Value's Joannes Cash and Carry until his first retirement. After his retirement he delivered flowers for Petal Pusher's. Carl was a strong supporter of the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. and Mrs. Servais were charter members of St. Agnes Parish. Survivors include eight children and their spouses, Dan and Lin Servais, Janesville; Joan and Harold Baker, Ashwaubenon; Steve and Debbie Servais, Suamico; Patrice and Ron Redeker, Chris and Kathy Servais, Kevin Servais, Beth and David Stordeur, all of Green Bay; Carol and Jeff Scheiwe, Pulaski; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Carl (Lauren) Servais, Kristin (Mike) Servais-Grohall, Jennifer (Rick) Jonet, Kathryn Mader, Laura Baker, Ellen Baker, Kyle Servais and Sarah, Tara Servais, Heather Servais, Jessica (Rob) Ecke, Michael Servais, Keri Stordeur, Adam Stordeur, Daniel Scheiwe and his fiancee, Dena Koepke, Joseph Scheiwe; 10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Rita Lavin, Green Bay; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Harriet Servais, Green Bay; and two sisters-in-law, Alvina Servais, Green Bay; Esther Dunaway, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, in 1996; two brothers, Clayton Servais, Richard Servais; and a sister, Jane Servais. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. The Servais family will always be grateful to Gary Antilla and Dave Mayville for saving Carl's life in 1996.
