  Norman A. "Tony" Rivet, 74, Town of Menasha, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 23, 1932, in Neenah, son of Wilbur and Viola (Bolongia) Rivet. Tony married Virginia R. Lindsley August 31, 1984, in Dubuque, Iowa, and she preceded him in death December 16, 2005. He was employed at Jim's Plumbing, Greenville, until his retirement. Tony helped organize the Palisades Youth Baseball League. Mr. Rivet was proud to be a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from 1949-1952, and enjoyed family gatherings at his home. Tony is survived by his former wife and companion, Anna Marie Rivet, Menasha; children: Steve (Ilene) Rivet, Menasha; Sharon (Ken) Kozlowski, Menasha; Tracy (Gerry) Mignon, Appleton; Paul (Dannie Sue) Rivet, New London; Brenda Rivet (Rose), Appleton; Scott (Michelle) Rivet, Neenah; five grandchildren: Curt (Kristy) Mignon; Nicole Kozlowski; Heather and Crystal Taff; Trisha Rivet; Danielle Kaddatz; three great-grandchildren, and one on the way: Shawnna Kozlowski; Ben Mignon; Nicholas Green; brother and sisters: Marcella (Ray) Kiesow, Oshkosh; Grace (Charles) Heinz; Rosalie (Sy) Swederski, Menasha; Janet Sohrweide, Oshkosh; Robert (Kathy) Rivet, Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Lawrence, Ambrose and James Rivet; a brother-in-law, Don Sohrweide. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Kessler Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael L. Ingold officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. Thursday, until the time of the service. Military rites will be conducted by the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60, Kimberly following the service. A memorial has been established.
