  Frances Gast, 83, Neenah passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center, Menasha. She was born June 2, 1923, in Neenah, daughter of Frank and Beatrice (Schooner) Miller. Frances married Harold Gast, February 5, 1948, in Neenah and he preceded her in death February 13, 1993. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Neenah. Frances loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Frances is survived by her daughter, Shirley (David) La Shay, Darboy; two sons, Lyle Gast, Menasha; Harold (Debra) Gast, Menasha; eight grandchildren: Christi Geiger, Staci (Rich) Wanberg, Dan (Lucy) Gast, Jennifer (Kurt) Pitterle, Joshua (Bardah) Gast, Jeremy Gast, Jennifer Gast and special friend, Mike and Jayme Gast; two step-grandchildren, Holly Hanus and Anthony La Shay; five great-grandchildren: Zachary Wanberg, Lauton and Carter Pitterle, Gabriella Gast and Arion Gast; two step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Hanus and Kendyl La Shay; two sisters, Violet Miller, Menasha and Netti (John) Annis, Neenah; five brothers: Frank (Nancy) Miller and David (Pat) Miller, both of Neenah; Donald Miller, Mississippi; Paul Miller, Madison and Jerry Miller, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Lenore Miller. Frances was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Kayden and Quentine Gast; three sisters: Alvira "Vi" Burmeister, Myrtle Larsen and Wuanita "Pete" Weiss; three brothers: Murray (Janet), Merrill and William Miller. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, at the First Presbyterian Chapel, Neenah with Rev. Richard J. Moore officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the Kessler Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the chapel from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the services. A memorial has been established. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Curtis Baltz and staff for their kind and loving care of Frances. They would also like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center for their care and concern for their mother and grandmother in her final days.
