Shirley A. Gehm, 74, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 20, 2008. She was born on August 26, 1934 in Appleton to the late Andrew and Margaret (Bessette) Jansen. On September 30, 1951 she married Jack Gehm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Green Bay. Shirley loved shopping for antiques and going to auctions in search of a fine treasure, which she displayed in her antique store the "Savory Shop". She also enjoyed camping trips and was an avid card player. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Survivors are her loving husband, Jack of 57 years; daughter, Jodie; daughter-in-law, Angela; son-in-law, John; grandchildren, Jessica, Abby, Jake, Margaret, Katie, Ana; great granddaughter, Hailey Rae. Two sisters, Barbara (Fritz) Hrubesky, Judy (Bill) McLaughlin; many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Gary; daughter, Cindy; brother, Andrew; and sister, Mary. A memorial visitation will take place Monday, November 24, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview from 9:30 to 11 a.m. A memorial mass will be held Monday at the church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Duffeck officiating. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Shirley's name.
