  Ottone, Charles A. "Chuck" Charles A. Ottone, of Appleton, age 82, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 1, 2008. He was born on February 21, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois son of the late Albert and Susan (Oerter) Ottone. Chuck was raised in Wascott, WI, on Crystal Lake. He later went on to serve his country proudly in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. While in the service he was stationed in Germany and Japan. He received many decorations, medals and badges. Chuck married the love of his life, Lola M. Stigney, on July 16, 1950. Chuck and Lola lived together in Minong, WI, before moving to Appleton, WI, in 1957. One of his greatest accomplishments was in 1978 when he, along with his two sons, opened Chuck's Radiator Service. This was his passion, where he worked side by side with his wife and three children. Chuck and his two sons expanded Chuck's Radiator into five businesses: Chuck's Radiator, Chuck's Stuff (Billards), Chuck's Services (Auto Repair), Chuck's Sharp Shop and Crescent Electric Motors. Chuck came to work every day until the end. Chuck loved: going on family vacations, hunting, shooting pool, woodworking, his many dogs, his many boats and fishing trips, 4-wheeling, spending time at his cabin in Minong, family time and his many friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lola; and their three children: Stephen (Cindy) Ottone, Charles Mark (Tina) Ottone, Connie (Paul) Hubbard ; eight grandchildren, Angela (Tanner) Ottone, Jennifer (Rob) Meetz, Stephen (Jennifer) Ottone, Adam Ottone, Eric (Mandy) Ottone, Charlie Ottone, Matt Hubbard, Amanda (Jeff) Braunreiter; four great grandchildren: Ian Ottone, Sophia May, Claire Ottone, Jonathan Meetz as well as a great grandson, Charles, on the way — all of Appleton. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 6th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E. College Avenue, Appleton, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Martin Koehler and Rev. Tim Seabaugh officiating. Friends may call directly at the church Saturday from 9 until the time of service. Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow.
