  Ruth Rohloff, age 90, of New London, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Ruth was born on December 1, 1918, in the Township of Royalton, daughter of the late William and Grace (Van Ornum) Smith. She graduated from Little Wolf High School, Manawa. Ruth was united in marriage to Carl Rohloff in 1937; they lived and farmed in the New London area all their married life. She was a member for many years of the Liberty Homemakers Club and the Old Time Auto Club. She enjoyed artex painting, ceramics, reading and her beautiful flower gardens. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New London. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Betty (Duane) Handrich, New London; two grandsons: Jeffery (Danette) Thieme, New London; Dave Thieme, New London; a granddaughter, Cheryl (Joseph) Pitzlin, Juneau; four great-grandchildren: Eric and Heather Linberg, New London; Nicole (Jamie) Frenche and Lawnie Thieme, New London; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, a great-great-grandchild, two sisters: Doris Fasher and Genavie Haight, and a brother-in-law Merlin Fasher. Funeral services for Ruth will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Bil Sutlief officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
