  George E. Proper Rt.3, Loderbauer Rd., Kaukauna Age 70, died Monday evening. He was born May 30,1905 in Mattoon, Wisconsin and had lived in Kaukauna since 1932. He married the former Evangeline Mayer, May 31, 1930. He had been employed as a Millwright for Thilmany Pulp and Paper from 1934 until he re- tired in 1967. He was a former alderman and fire and police commission member and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Mr. Proper is survived by his wife;a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mitzie) Breitrick of Ely, Nevada; two sons, George E. of Lake Villa, Ill., and-Thomas A. of Appleton; a brother, Donald of Reedsburg; two sisters, Mrs.M.J. (Queenie) Brunner of Rhinelander, and Mrs. T.F. (Susan) Bommer of Hudson; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna with interment in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Charles Fredericks will officiate. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Kaukauna after 3 p.m. Wednesday and the prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
