  George Hook, 417 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna Age 65, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday after a long illness. He was born May 10, 1897 in L'Anse, Mich. and was a switchman for the Chicago North Western Railroad until his retirement in 1959. Mr. Hook was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad trainmen, the American Legion, the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna and served in the Navy in World War I. Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Dean Lewis, Kaukauna; one son, Sgt. Clifford Hook, Ft. Hood, Texas; four brothers, Frank, Mercer, Wis., Matt, Fairfield, Iowa, Joseph, Detroit, Mich. and Lawrence, Ironwood, Mich.; 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic church, Kaukauna with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, after 2 p.m. Friday and the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Appleton Post Crescent, Wed., Sept. 5, 1962 pg. B14
