  Theodore L. "Swami" Meyer, 61, Chilton, died on April 15, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 7, 1949, to the late Theodore and Hilda (Gilles) Meyer. Following his graduation from Stockbridge High School, Ted served in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971, serving one year in Germany. He married Judy Schoenborn on Jan. 9, 1971, and the couple recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. During his life, he worked at Tecumseh Products from 1967 until 2004, when he retired due to illness. He enjoyed baking, sturgeon spearing and thoroughly appreciated beating Judy at Cribbage. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in his flower garden and making his famous Bar-B-Que Chicken. Above all else, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were truly the love of his life, and the grandchildren absolutely loved his famous pickles. He will always be remembered for his love of life and the many jokes he shared with anyone who he met on life's journey. Whether they were friends or strangers, people were bound to be laughing by the time they parted ways with Swami. Ted will be sadly missed by his best friend and loving wife, Judy; his daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Adkins, Melissa (Dan) Bodinger; his grandchildren, Nicholaus, Alexis and Lynzee Adkins, Adeline and Cash Bodinger; a brother, Wayne (Ginny) Meyer; sisters, Marilyn (Lyle) Levknecht, Pat Parsons, Carole Wolf, Ellie (Dan) Hammen; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Maureen Becker, Michael Schoenborn, Joe and Karen Schoenborn, and Ben and Doreen Schoenborn. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Elmer and Val Schoenborn; brothers-in-law, Don Parsons, Sam Wolf and Steve Christel; a sister-in-law, Linda Cornelison, nee Christel; stepfather, Al Lagerman; stepfather, Joe Stahl; and a nephew, Bob Levknecht. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton, with Dcn. Dennis Bennin officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Special thanks to our family and friends, the emergency staff at the Calumet Medical Center and the ICU staff at Theda Clark for helping us through this difficult time.
