Kurt K. Kositzke, age 46, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home at White Lake, Weyauwega. He was born on June 10, 1965 in Appleton to Ken and Carole (Hendricks) Kositzke. He graduated from Appleton High School, West in 1983 and joined the U.S. Navy the same year. Kurt served aboard the USS Reasoner and was Honorably Discharged in 1987. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Appleton Post #2778. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Readfield. Kurt will be sadly missed by his wife, Jennifer (Forbes) Kositzke, Manawa and her children, Sophie and Seth; his parents, Ken and Carole, Appleton; sisters, Cynthia (Brian Haskell) Sorenson, Minneapolis and Connie (John) Maki, Appleton; brother, William (Roxanne) Kositzke, Little Chute; nieces, Melinda (Mike) Betz, Fremont and Caleigh Kositzke, Little Chute; nephews, Ben Nieft, Kaukauna and Ethan Kositzke, Little Chute; grand-nephew, Cole Betz and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. A Funeral Mass for Kurt will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Full military honors will be held at the church following the mass. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton.
