Bruce Stroik, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 12, 2011, at his home, in Appleton. Bruce was born on Sept. 7, 1956, the son of Shirley (Marquard) and the late Clifford Stroik of New London. Some of his favorite activities were fishing, swimming, camping and watching the Green Bay Packers. Bruce is survived by his mother, Shirley; four sons, Jason Stroik, Bear Creek; Josh Stroik, Pearson; Justin Stroik, Appleton; Jeremy (Stacy) Stroik, Freedom; one daughter, Melissa Engels, Wausau; three brothers, Ed Stroik, New London; Mark Stroik, New London; Randy (Lori) Stroik, New London; one sister, Sandy Stroik, New London; three grandchildren, Desire, Alanna, and Ian; and many nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Stroik. A memorial service for Bruce will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home with the Rev.
