  Lee Drews, 71, New London, died on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at his home. He was born on Oct. 16, 1939, in Appleton, Wis., the son of the late Leonard and Hildegard (Tews) Drews. On Oct. 7, 1961, Lee married Jan White at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New London, and this past weekend, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Lee was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Caledonia, where he served on many church offices. He farmed in the Town of Wolf River and Winchester for many years. He later worked for Bake-Rite for 17 years, and then retired from Advance Chemical. Lee was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, and also enjoyed watching the Packers, and Nascar Racing. Lee is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan; two sons, Jeffrey (Ann), Delafield; and their sons, Benjamin and Daniel; Jon (Sue), Appleton, and their children, Lauren and Ethan; and a daughter, Lisa (Philip) Hare, New London, and their son, Jordan; a brother, Richard (Pat)Drews, Libertyville, Ill.; a sister, Bonnie (Phil) Lewin, Fremont; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kerran Prahl, New London; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, E9016 Marsh Rd., Fremont. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
