Dawn I. Klarner, 81, Menasha, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. On March 1, 1930, Dawn Ilene was born to the late Clifford and Eva (Bellack) Frost. Dawn had worked as a waitress for many years. Recently she enjoyed being with her friends of Lakeshore Commons, playing cards, such as Uno, or other games like Yatzee or Bingo. Dawn also enjoyed getting out and going to any restaurant. She also liked to sit down by the water in Menasha and watch the boats go through. Dawn will be missed by her loving children. Gary (Sue) Klarner and Diane (Jerry) Olson; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Frost; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Leroy (Rosemary) Frost; a sister, Kathleen (George) Heindle; and the father of her children, James Klarner, who was forever in her heart. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Black Creek Cemetery in Black Creek. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
