  Hortonville - Caroline L. Schroeder, age 89, of Hortonville, passed away following a brief illness. The Lord took Caroline's hand and lead her home on Wednesday, January 17. 2018. She was born on February 25, 1928, baptized on March 25, 1928, and confirmed in 1941. She was united in marriage with Wallace Schroeder in 1948. Caroline was a devoted Christian and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dale. Beloved mother of Joanne (Warren) Mueller; Betty (Richard) Basarich; Gail (Timothy) Mayo; Frank (Debbie) Schroeder; Paul (Lou Ann) Schroeder; Michael (Debbie) Schroeder; Daniel (Brenda) Schroeder; daughter-in-law, Deb Schroeder. She is further survived by 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and many special relatives. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Schultz, her husband Wallace, her son Jim, and many special family members. Funeral services for Caroline will be held on Saturday, January, 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dale with Rev. William Finn officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The family wishes to thank Kindred Hearts, Greenville for their compassion and care.
