  Vandenberg, Robe rt C.Robert C. Vandenberg, age 78, passed away early Saturday morning, March 1 1, 2006 at his home in the Town of Kaukauna where he grew up on a far m. He was born to Minnie (Diedrich) and John C. in 1927, and married Mar ie Langenberg in 1964 at St. Patrick's Church, Menasha.He is survived by his wife; sons, Kurt (Ellen) Vandenberg and Margot, N ew York; Tom Vandenberg, Neenah; daughter Greta (Bill) DuVernay, Christoph er and Julianna, Appleton. He is also survived by brother Servanius Vanden berg and sister Marcella VanDeWalle and sisters-in-law Joan Eggers and Ire ne Langenberg. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-l aw Jane Vandenberg; brothers-in-law Norb VanDeWalle, Joe Langenberg, Jo hn Langenberg and Richard Eggers.A memorial mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at S t. Nicholas Catholic Church, N4088 Cty Rd E, Kaukauna; with Father John Sc huetze presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the ti me of service at the church.Robert loved his grandchildren and enjoyed them as well as other hobbie s. He will always be remembered for his opinions, interests and creativene ss, and loved for his strengths and weaknesses. We will forever miss his s trong character, wisdom and insight.
